This Farm Renovation Project is planned to successfully revitalize four annex buildings on this charming farmstead, transforming them into modern, functional spaces that compliment the existing main house. The project's completion will mark a significant milestone in enhancing the utility and sustainability of the farm while preserving its rustic charm.
Transforming one of the barns into an annex for the main estate required a respectful approach. The aim was to honour the barn's agricultural history while providing a welcoming escape for guests. The barn's exterior was preserved, maintaining its iconic silhouette and rural façade. Inside, modern amenities were introduced, creating a warm, inviting space with high ceilings, exposed beams, and a mezzanine level. The open-plan design included a cosy living area with a fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom, all designed for comfort and relaxation.
The second, larger barn was transformed into country retreat rental. With this project, we took great pride in retaining the unique architectural features of the outer building while seamlessly incorporating contemporary design elements. The large windows, were placed with the intention of flooding the living areas with natural light, creating an open and inviting atmosphere whilst maintaining its natural warmth. The open-plan layout maintains the barn's original spaciousness, providing the client with a practical and flexible living & bedroom areas.
