This new architectural addition has been thoughtfully designed to blend with the original home and provide a bookend to the row of similar properties. The exterior boasts a combination of materials, including brick and timber siding details, to create a harmonious yet distinctive look.

Inside, the extension is a flexible living space, an open-plan layout that includes a modern seating area as well as space for the clients musical instruments . The design focuses on simplicity, contemporary style, and a seamless connection to the outdoors, resulting in a bright and inviting area that enhances both the functionality and visual appeal of the home.
The standout feature of the design is the large sliding doors, which open up the back wall and seamlessly connect the indoor and outdoor spaces. When fully open, these doors create a airy atmosphere, allowing the garden to become part of the extension. This makes it perfect for entertaining or simply enjoying a contemplative moment surrounded by greenery. The doors are framed with sleek, modern profiles to maximize the glass area, offering enhanced views and allowing plenty of natural light to filter through.

The client had specific requirements for sound reduction as the room was to house his extensive musical instrument collection. With carefully selected materials, this was achieved allowing the client to maximise the use of the space. With additional glazing being added to the front wall, natural light was able to light the area consistently throughout the day allowing for use from AM to PM.
