This is a proposal for a live / work annex to a listed farmhouse in Silsden, West Yorkshire. The historic part of the existing listed buildiing remains intact and a more recent extension is to be demolished to make way for a new flat roofed link to the new two storey annex. The ground floor of the new annex is cut into the sloping site to recice the impact of the building and to form a new external courtyard, framed my the opening glazed doors of the new annex. The new building is to be clad in black rainscreen cladding.
