This project for Ilkley Pool Group, is a replacement indoor pool for the existing 1975 building. The design incorporates a new 25 metre competition / water polo pool, a diving pool with a movable floor, spectator gallery cafe, restaurant, sports hall, fitness suites and a climbing wall. The scheme is being developed between IPG and Bradford Met Council. The front of the building is a large white rotunda, in keeping with the outdoor pool. A green roof to the main body of the building helps the building blend into the background when seen from across the valley. The new building sits outside the existing lido site, freeing up the original 1930’s grounds for restoration, the design also includes renovation proposals for the lido.
